How to permanently delete facebook account
I came across a group on Facebook dedicated to users who want to permanently delete their Facebook accounts, not deactivate but permanently remove it from the system (or so it says). I’ve been using Fcebook for awhile but more and more I find it to be a waste of time.
In addition to that, it contains everything about you. Who you are, what interests you have, your beliefs, your friends. Heck it knows you better than you may know yourself…it’s like having your soul outside of your body and on display.
Follow the instructions below:
- Login to your Facebook account first.
- Then go to http://www.facebook.com/help/contact.php?show_form=delete_account
- Click “Submit” and follow the instructions.
Once you click Submit, it should display the image above. Do (or don’t do) exactly as it says. You must NOT login for 2 weeks, otherwise their system will automatically reinstate your account. Hold off your curiosity on whether your account is really deleted or not for at least 15 days.
A better way to find out if you’re completely out is to ask a friend to check if he/she still sees your name on their friend’s list. If not, have them confirm by doing a search as well and make sure it’s no longer listed. If it still does, send an email to info@facebook.com and complain.
